How to face the oppressive rulers and enemies

We don't need to fear any oppressive ruler or any other creature if we are truly mindful of Allah & His Commands!

Allah says, "It is only the Evil one (Iblis) who urges you to fear his followers; do not fear them, but fear Me (Allah), if you are true believers.” (3:175)

The Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam said:
"Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you (have need to) ask, ask of Allah; and if you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that even if the Nation (or the whole community) were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded for you, and that if they gather together to harm you with something, they would not be able to harm you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried."
[Al-Tirmidhi relates this and says: It is a good, genuine Hadith]

The oppressive rulers are nothing! Know your Real Enemy:

The most dangerous & destructive enemies of Muslims are their own Sins. Whenever we were defeated, it was not due to the enemy's superiority but due to our own sins. Let's do Real Tawba and turn to Allah for protection & Victory.

This is from Allah to test our faith:

“The present world is only an illusory pleasure: you are sure to be tested through your possessions and persons; you are sure to hear much that is hurtful from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with God. If you are steadfast and mindful of God that is the best course.” (Qur’an, 3:186)

Do you suppose that you will enter the Garden without encountering what those before you encountered? They were afflicted by misfortune and hardship, and they were so shaken that even [their] messenger and the believers with him cried, ‘When will God’s help arrive?’ Truly, God’s help is near.” (Qur’an, 2:214)

But most reassuring of all, Allah (swt) Himself comforts the believers and promises them success after these tests:

Do not lose heart, nor fall into despair—you will have the upper hand, if you are true believers. If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) We give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks Martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loves not those that do wrong. Allah’s object also is to purify those that are true in Faith and to deprive of blessing those that resist Faith. Did you think that you would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast?”  Quran (3:139-142)

How to pass this test from Allah?:

The beauty of the tests of Allah is that after notifying us that they’re coming, He gives us the exact recipe for succeeding in them: Sabr (patience) and Taqwa (God-consciousness).

“They grieve at any good that befalls you [believers] and rejoice at your misfortunes. But if you are steadfast and conscious of God, their scheming will not harm you in the least: God encircles everything they do.” (3:120)

So, along with a proper strategy to face the changed scenario, let us revamp our spiritual condition as a community, do full and sincere Tawba, adopt Taqwa in all aspects of life and be steadfast on the deen with sabr and do the following dua frequently:

‘Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses. Make our feet firm, and give us help against the disbelievers.' (3:147)
